If one or more of these points apply, purchase or use is defined as professional.
- Machine or accessories are purchased in a company name.
- The product is used permanently on business premises.
- VAT for the purchase is deducted in an account.
- The product is used in a condominium or housing association.
- The product is rented out or systematically lent to different users.
- The machine is used more than 50 hours a year (Use above the EU's definition of high use in a household).
In the case of business to business sales (B2B), the Consumer Purchase Act does not apply, nor does AVA's consumer guarantee. The consumer guarantee of 10 or 20 years only applies to consumers.
AVA only supplies machines intended for the consumer market
Our washers are designed for the private market and, according to the EU's definition, are intended for normal high use in a household. They are not suitable for professional use, purchase, rental and the like.
On a consumer product, all warranty is usually void if the use is "other than intended". If you use an AVA consumer washer in a work context, this is a different use than what they were made for, i.e. "other than intended".
Lifetime
Our machines have an expected lifetime that is up to 6 times that found on other consumer machines, but only a fraction of what is the lifetime of an industrial machine. Machines with an induction motor have a low service cost, and therefore do not reach the end of their service life, but a service interval when the pump stops working. For some, a 4- or 6-piston AVA can therefore be a good alternative to industrial pumps, if you are prepared to give them some maintenance along the way. Both professional and industrial machines will in any case normally need an annual service, sometimes at the same price as a brand new AVA.

- If the machine is sent to a workshop, the workshop decides whether the fault is covered by warranty/complaints or if the customer is charged for the repair. The same applies to the machine's microswitch.
- If the machine is not covered by warranty/complaints and repair is not desired, the machine can be sent back. The customer will be invoiced for troubleshooting and shipping.
