AVA: Half the work – double the satisfaction
We believe that by foaming all surfaces, then working with a gentler nozzle and a wider working area, you can achieve the same result in half the time.
With this in mind, we believe it should be easy to change nozzles and to pick the right one from a selection, so that you can adapt the pressure to different surfaces and jobs:
60 degree nozzle : Flat V-shaped water jet for use on wood
40 degree nozzle: Flat V-shaped water jet well suited for car washing
25 degree nozzle : Flat V-shaped water jet for general use with high power
15 degree nozzle : Flat V-shaped water jet. Efficient and narrow working area, used where a little extra power is needed.
0 degree nozzle : Thin, sharp spot beam to reach further, tackle tough dirt e.g. under a gutter, removing bird droppings or cut tracks in the lawn for the robotic lawnmower's electric cable. For safety reasons, it will not fit directly into the gun.
Turbo nozzle : Same jet as the 0-degree nozzle. The water jet also rotates with a 20 degree spread so that you cover a wider area. It is well suited for removing moss and stubborn dirt, but is far too powerful for cars and wood. A turbo nozzle is therefore something that should be used with care, and should only be used on a lance. For that reason, it will not fit directly into the gun.
Vario nozzle: You can choose between a 20 degree and a 60 degree beam. The Vario nozzle also has a combination jet with reduced pressure which is perfect for gentle rinsing.
Today, a number of high-pressure washers are supplied with a function to reduce the pressure so that you can wash different surfaces more gently. The most powerful high-pressure washers can be too powerful for, for example, cars or wood, and therefore pressure-reducing measures are good. We have chosen to use different nozzles to easily adjust the pressure without complex and life shortening modifications to the pump or motor.
By increasing the angle of the jet from, for example, 25 to 60 degrees, you increase the working area to more than double and you therefore get more coverage for each "stripe" you spray over the house wall or car. In this way, you also maintain the amount of water that the machine expells over a given time, which is an essential componant of the washing effect.
Our selection of fixed nozzles have a lower pressure loss than what we measure in both our Vario nozzle and others' combined nozzles. A combined nozzle loses a bit of power in transmission and if you are going to wash an entire house, you can save a further 5 to 10% washing time by using a fixed nozzle when compared to a combined nozzle.
At AVA we have done extensive work to optimize our nozzles and all have a metal tip because we want you to have maximum effect for as long as possible.
Even with this solution however, the nozzles will wear out over time. We therefore recommend that you replace the nozzles when you feel that the effect is starting to decrease, after an estimated 50 to 100 hours of use.
The nozzles also have different color codes, please read more about it here
