Yes, you can change and reduce the pressure on all AVA high-pressure washers.
As standard, all machines are supplied with a vario nozzle which can be adjusted between high pressure (20 degree spread), medium pressure (60 degree spread), as well as a combination of these which gives a lower pressure for rinsing.
With this solution, the maximum water flow is maintained so that you work efficiently even with lower pressure.
Different methods of changing pressure :
There are two common ways to reduce pressure on a pressure washer. One is by turning down the pump power, the other is by increasing the working width of the jet water itself.
With the former solution, the amount of water is reduced in step with the pressure so that you unfortunately get increase in time consumption in parallel with reducing the pressure. Half the pressure typically gives half the amount of water, which would calculate to 75% more time washing the same area.
By increasing the working width and allowing the pump to work normally, for example by increasing the spread from 20 to 40 degrees, you will halve the pressure that hits the surface while maintaining the amount of water flow, and thus the efficiency. In this example, you will work on a moderately dirty surface at double speed. Based on this, AVA offers a number of different nozzles so that you can always work efficiently.
When using our fixed nozzles, this can be a good indication of areas of use;
60 degree nozzle : On wood
40 degree nozzle : On cars
25 degree nozzle: Can be used on most surfaces
15 degree nozzle: Lots of power, but has a narrow working area. Used where you need a little extra power
0 degree nozzle: Extreme power and long range. Can be used to increase the range, e.g. to above a gutter
The 0 degree nozzle is also perfect for cutting slots in soil for something like the cable for a robotic lawnmower!
