Why do you need a water filter?
Despite the fact that we in Norway, the UK and Germany (amongst most of our other markets!) are very lucky with our water quality most of the time, there is still some dirt in the water. The filter's job is to stop as much of this dirt as possible and prevent it from entering the machine and damaging anything inside.
Particulates in the water are a common cause of reduced service life, and can cause malfunctions in the pump.
Is it leaking from the water filter?
This can be caused by a damaged O-ring, 11.8 x 2.65 mm, which is a standard water connection o-ring.
If this needs to be replaced, then they are a common part and can be purchased at most garden centers and hardware stores.
(O-rings that are on the high-pressure side of the pump must be designed for high pressure.)
Cracked water filter?
Then it must be replaced.
The reasons why water filters crack can be frost , the use of a non-return valve, and on occasion manufacturing defects.
Do you need a new water filter?
These can be purchased in our online store, or from one of our retailers.
Maintenance/cleaning
The filter consists of a filter housing and an insert.
Disassemble water filter by removing the insert from the housing, and clean with water. This should be done regularly, whenever you see that it is dirty, and of course when you service the machine.
