If you find it difficult to take the hose and gun apart, try the following:
- Switch off machine
- Disconnect/turn off the water supply
- Press the pistol grip to relieve the pressure..
When the pressure is gone, it should be possible to detach the gun from the hose. It is released by pressing the button upwards, then pulling the hose. Do not pull on the hose while pushing the button.
At times, loosening it can still be challenging. The trick lies in pushing the hose slightly inward first to release the locking pin. A gun that has remained attached to the hose for several years might have a dry O-ring, resulting in the hose sticking.
As long as the locking button is engaged, it's safe to apply some force. It's advisable to lubricate the coupling before repositioning it; this will prevent issues in the future.
