In Norway, around 60,000 high-pressure washers are thrown away every year. Our investigations show that a significant portion of this number could have been used further if the user had received a whole lot more basic help with the challenges they experienced with the machine.
Our goal is to ensure that a high-pressure washer should last a long time, and challenges that arise along the way should be able to be solved as easily and as quickly as possible. In many cases, problems that arise can be solved completely without repair or replacement of parts, and in those cases where a repair is necessary, we have also arranged for the user to be able to do this themselves.
Our data found that 1/3 of machines that came in to our workshop operated perfectly fine when tested. The troubleshooting form we now ask customers to complete has reduced this amount significantly.

Our troubleshooting form gives you the opportunity to find solutions to your problem at any time, and without waiting. In many cases, there are several different things that need to be checked and the form saves you from a dialogue with our team that may have to last several days. If you're lucky, it can also save you any packing and delivery to the post office or dealer.
In many cases, it is not appropriate to send an entire machine for repair or replacement, if the cause of the error lies in, for example, a gun or nozzle.
Easier handling/repair
If it turns out that the product must be delivered to a workshop, the troubleshooting form provides comprehensive information to the staff there that helps to ensure correct repair the first time. You will also have the opportunity to collect the shipping label yourself. Parts of the information you provide in the form are used to create a repair case, if necessary.
Environmental friendliness
By following the troubleshooting form, you can check whether the solution to the challenges lies in local conditions, or that it can be done more easily than sending in an entire high-pressure washer.
For example; the machine can pulse if there is a leak from an accessory, which can often be replaced or repaired in a simple way. From an environmental point of view, it makes a big difference whether a large washer has to be sent back and forth, or whether the solution is a small envelope through your letterbox.
Lower risk of costs for you, the customer
In some cases, we see that warranty claims are made for faults caused by, for example, a garden hose with a bad connection or the wrong type of extension cord. In cases of doubt, we go to great lengths to avoid charging the customer, but in some cases it becomes quite clear that the product does not have a fault or the fault is the result of user error. As a customer, you are then at risk of having to pay for shipping and repair. Other examples include cases related to frost/cold damage, where the damage is not covered by the guarantee. By using the troubleshooting form, many such situations will be avoided, and you as a customer will be presented with several options for a solution that does not incur a potential cost.

We are currently working on translating and rewriting all of our articles into English from the original Norwegian. Whilst we are proud of the quality of our language skills here at AVA, we are aware that there may be some slightly odd syntax and wording present in the articles that have been translated.
