If a brand new machine has an oil spill in the box, you may have unfortunately received a machine from a manufaturing run where something went wrong when installing an oil seal. Contact the vendor you bought from to sort out an exchange or repair of the machine.
Please note that all machines are test-run after production, so a worker with an oil spill on thier glove can accidentally cause a small oil stain. If this is the case, this is not a leak, and there is no danger of use. We have reviewed routines to avoid such stains and other visible marks after initial testing. The previous paragraph refers to very large and obvious oil leaks and stains, that have obviously come from the motor unit after production and packing.

I've been trying for weeks to get my AVA evolution P60 replaced after it arrived with a massive oil leak. AVA have completely ignored all my emails and calls, I filled in a warranty claim and it was closed within an hour with no notification or contact. I've had to contact my bank to reverse the charges, I'll never buy from AVA again.
